Recently, Chengdu Newsun Crop Science Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Newsun") led the application for the "Creation and Industrialization of New Mechanisms and New Functional Plant Growth Regulators" project of the National 14th Five Year Plan, which has been approved. This not only marks an important step for Newsun in the field of agricultural science and technology, but also injects new impetus into China's agricultural science and technology innovation.

As an advocate and pioneer of green agriculture, Newsun has always been committed to driving agricultural green development through technological innovation. The key research and development plan project approved this time aims to study the creation and industrialization of new mechanisms and new functional plant growth regulators, providing strong technological support for ensuring national food security.

The project will integrate the superior resources of Newsun in the field of agricultural science and technology, and cooperate with domestic scientific research institutions such as China Agricultural University, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guizhou University, Nanjing Agricultural University to carry out joint research. The research content of this project mainly focuses on the current situation of the lack of major green plant growth regulators in China. Through molecular design targeting new targets such as hormone receptors and key enzymes for synthetic metabolism, new mechanisms and functional plant growth regulator molecules are created at the source, and green preparation processes and key technologies for industrialization of new regulators are established using methods such as gene editing and synthetic biology. At the same time, in response to important production issues such as full process stress resistance and high yield, quality and efficiency improvement, and ensuring mechanization of crops, Chengdu Newsun will develop green and efficient new formulations, break through key green regulation technologies, and carry out efficient application technologies and demonstration and promotion research.

National food security is the cornerstone of stable economic and social development. The "Creation and Industrialization of New Mechanisms and New Functional Plant Growth Regulators" project will help improve the technological content and environmental protection level of China's agriculture, promote the modernization process of agriculture, and make positive contributions to ensuring national food security and promoting rural revitalization.
